Account data: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store plain-text passwords.

Search queries: We store your search queries and results in order to provide search history functionality to Pro and Lifetime users.

Usage data: With your consent, we collect anonymized analytics about how you use the application (pages visited, features used, session duration). This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

Payment data: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the Pain Point Engine service
• To send you account-related emails (confirmations, billing)
• To enforce usage limits on the Free tier
• To generate anonymized usage analytics (with consent only)
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your search queries to train AI models. We do not share your data with advertisers.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union / United States (Zo Computer infrastructure). We use industry-standard encryption for data at rest and in transit (TLS 1.3). Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

4. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Withdraw consent: At any time, for consent-based processing

5. Your Rights (CCPA — California)

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Zo Computer — server infrastructure and hosting
• Groq / DeepSeek — AI inference for search analysis. Search queries are processed by these providers but are not stored by them for training.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Search history is retained for 12 months on Pro/Lifetime plans, 30 days on Free. You may delete your account at any time, which permanently removes all associated data within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Pain Point Engine is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
